This part is relatively simple, just very tedious.
The spectral current bites are more bothersome, naturally, due to how close some of them are. The difference is a fraction of a second that these numbers, while accurate, don’t really display. But macros can’t do fractions of a second, nor do I use anything external that could provide them, so this is as accurate as it can get while using whole numbers.

A fortunate thing about these very close bites though is that the spectral current bites fall into what could be called something like ‘bite archetypes.’ Basically, unlike the normal zone which has a wide range of bite times and there is not much congruence between different normal zone bite times, all spectral currents have a handful of possible bite times that are seen.
The most obvious one is the 2-3 second biting fish, which is what most players call instant. There is then also often a 3-4 second bite that is of the same bite strength as the instant one in the same current.
On paper it looks like those two can’t always be distinguished but they can be. Relying on a macro timer, I feel, makes this distinction difficult and it ends up being easier to do by feel with experience.

Which archetype(s) the high-value fish belong to is not always the same but almost all of them can be blind DHed. I believe there’s only two that can’t be at all, although for both of them there are times in which it is more likely to be the high-value fish.
Expressing this, as well, is likely going to be rather bothersome.

In terms of the data collection I am at the point where I now need to get a desired bite, IC, and just record Casts.
This work has been faster for the normal zone but for the spectral currents is going to take an extremely long amount of time to have data for all viable baits for every fish due to the current time+bite rates.
Using Versatile Lure is also extremely bothersome. I will eventually end up tracking it for spectral currents but for now will focus on the three baits+special because as far as I’ve tested there isn’t any point in which Versatile is good to use.

Ocean fishing data starting to look decent for normal zones.
