White Scrips: Barreleye

Barreleye is technically the highest potential yield white scrip fish.

Yield of 350/438/700 scrips per fish. A tier 1 Barreleye gives more scrip than a tier 3 Barreleye did last expansion, which gave 240.

Maximum I’ve gotten from 16 hours (not windows) of testing in a 23 minute window is 7, which is 4900 scrips. This is equivalent to a poor Fleeting Brand hour.

However, I’ve had multiple 0-2 Barreleye 23 minute windows, which is less than Fleeting Brand on average.

10k+ per hour is possible and has been achieved. 1h+ Thunder windows do happen in Azys Lla though most windows aren’t this and the entire hour is not consistent conditions when it does happen.

3 Barreleyes are needed per 23 minute window to reach the average Fleeting Brand yield.

The window will also be polluted by Jeweled Jellyfish from 16-3. Yield will be negatively impacted during all 16-00 Thunder windows and for the first three hours of 0-8 windows.

It’s ‘easier’ to fish for than Fleeting Brand but not by much, to the point where I do not consider the ‘ease’ to be a substantial benefit especially as you can make it about as easy with a Fleeting Brand macro that is set up to Hook at 20.
If immediate/guaranteed white scrips are the desire then Fleeting Brand wins out.
However, due to the disparity between Fleeting Brand and all other options making none of them even worth considering due to Fleeting Brand’s [lack of] conditions, Barreleye is the only other fish worth considering.

For scrip hoarding in inventory, Barreleye is unequivocally the best option.
