– Bug fix: An issue in the Ixal beast tribe daily quest “And Thanks for All the Fish” wherein using actions that increase the chance of landing HQ fish during fishing would display an incorrect log message after fishing.

Thunderbolt eels can now be caught in any weather.

– Bug fix: An issue wherein consecutive use of “Chum” could cause fishers unable to use “Cast”.
– Bug fix: An issue wherein the log displayed by the “Dravanian fishing folklore” was incorrect.
– Bug fix: An issue in the South Banepool fishing spot wherein no fish could be caught using “Mooch”.
– Known issue: An issue wherein the fisher action “Mooch” could result in an unexpectedly large amount of a certain fish to be caught in a short time span under certain conditions.

– Unwritten: Powerful Hookset and Precision Hookset description adjustment from “Removes the Inefficient Hooking status. Has no effect on some fish.” to “Negates the Inefficient Hooking status. Has no effect on some fish.”

3.1:
– Bug fix: An issue wherein the description for the fisher skill Patience did not list its duration.
– Bug fix: An issue wherein the incorrect fishing spot information for loosetongue was displayed in the Fish Guide.
– Bug fix: An issue wherein the chance to catch a three-lip carp was not set correctly.
– Bug fix: An issue wherein repeatedly activating “Collector’s Glove” while fishing under the effect of the “Collector’s Glove” prevented the gathering window from closing, preventing further actions.
– Bug fix: An issue wherein the collectable item icon may not have appeared for items obtained while fishing under the effect “Collector’s Glove”.
– Bug fix: An issue wherein incorrect graphics appeared when hovering the cursor over items in the “Bait” window.

3.2:

New items can be aetherially reduced.
Yields have increased for certain items when the following collectables undergo aetherial reduction:
Fisher: Manasail / Pteranodon / Tupuxuara / Dravanian Bass / Caiman / Thaliak Caiman

* An unspecified amount of gathering and perception will be necessary for big fishing
– [3.0] The fishing time conditions for the amber salamander have been adjusted.

– [2.0][3.0] The Fishing Log and Fish Guide have been adjusted as follows:
The display of icons for undiscovered fish that require a tome of regional folklore has been adjusted.
* If the player is in possession of the corresponding tome of regional folklore, an indicating mark will appear on the icon.

3.21:
– Bug fix: An issue wherein using the fisher action Cast without bait while performing an emote would allow the character to move without canceling the emote animation.

3.4:
– [2.x] Aquariums have been added.
– [2.x][3.x] Help text for the following items has been adjusted: Icarus Wing, Tigerfish, Orn Butterfly, Regain Feather, Hedgemole Cricket
– [3.x] New big fish have been added to Ishgard areas.
– [3.x] It is now easier to catch Gnomefish when using Purse Web Spider or Stonefly Nymph as bait.
– [3.x] Players can no longer obtain treasure maps when using the action Snagging in the following areas: Dragonspit, Ashpool, Whilom River, The Smoldering Wastes
– [3.x] The following bonuses granted by the fisher actions Patience and Patience II will remain in effect until the current cast is finished, even if their timers have expired: Gathering Fortune Up, Inefficient Hooking, Catch and Release
– Go Big or Go Home XII: 135 big fish

3.5:
– [2.x][3.x] New aquarium fishes have been added.
– [2.x][3.x] EXP gained for crafting and gathering has been increased for levels 1 to 55.
The amount of EXP rewarded for successfully completing crafter and gatherer guildleves has been increased.
Only guildleves for levels 1 to 55 will be affected by this change.
* EXP awarded upon completing fishing and crafting leves, as well as supply and provisioning missions, will not be affected by this change.

New big fish have been added to fishing spots in Ishgard.
Players will now be able to fish for the following fishes, regardless of prevailing weather conditions: Moogle Spirit / Vampiric Tapestry / Loosetongue
Success rates for catching the following fish while using a giant crane fly as bait have been adjusted: Stupendemys / Vampiric Tapestry
Success rates for catching the following fish while using a brute leech as bait have been adjusted: Thunderbolt Eel / Loosetongue / Noontide Oscar
The amount of time it takes to catch an amber salamander has been adjusted.

The number of red gatherers’ scrips rewarded in exchange for the following items has been increased: Barreleye

– Bug fix: An issue wherein mooching using an HQ Bonytongue at North Bronze Lake in Upper La Noscea would cause an error to occur.

After: Northeast Bronze Lake
Outer La Noscea
Before: North Bronze Lake
After: Northwest Bronze Lake
* Following this adjustment, Northwest Bronze Lake has been added under Outer La Noscea in the Fishing Log.
* The fish that can be caught at these holes have not been changed.

3.55a:
– Five new fish have been added to the fishing log, which may be requested for delivery.
* The locations of these fish can be confirmed while viewing the Custom Deliveries list by selecting the requested item and viewing its item description.
– [3.x] New fish have been added to Ishgard areas.
– [3.x] Players will no longer be able to obtain treasure maps from the following fishing location with the Snagging action: The Eddies

3.55b:
– The Diadem (Trials of the Matron/Trials of the Fury): Upon completing a mission, an aetherial gap will appear and allow you passage into previously inaccessible areas. These areas will contain stronger enemies, new fishing locations, and unspoiled gathering locations.
