Using Fish Eyes on Warden of the Seven Hues

New Fish Eyes is extremely powerful despite its high GP cost and low duration in general. Decently common sentiment is that it is not good enough to use for Warden of the Seven Hues and I completely disagree. It allows you to entirely adjust how you approach fishing for it and allows for at least 2 intuitions to be very easily gained from any Green Prismfish window, though this is not all.

As all of the restricted fish involved in the intuition are available often, if you have the time and/or want to catch multiple, you should be flexible with how you fish for it. Due to Green being weather restricted, if you want to dedicate time to it, you should pick a day/time block where Green is available often.

I was able to catch 8 (from 14 intuitions) in a 24 hour time period with decent Green availability. That 8 intuitions were successful was very fortunate but the 14 intuitions was not hard to achieve.

Goal: Capitalise on opportunities as they arise rather than waiting for anything.

  • You can always set up a favourable intuition for yourself, but when using FE it's worth it to have one polluted intuition and one ideal one if possible when operating around a real window for one of the triggers. The easiest way to set this up is: one intuition with Green available triggered at the start of the Green window, then one window without Green available with Greens caught after the first intuition.
  • You don't need to trigger with Green while using FE. If you have full AA stacks you can end on a Firelight/Indigo TH from a Red/Violet caught under FE and be completely fine on GP.

Before using FE: Slap a Yellow/Blue and Chum. Regen to full, FE and Hi-Cordial.

Fishing for Firelight/Indigo: You will normally get three bites during FE: two potential mooches. The last mooch will be from the third bite and FE will wear off; this does not matter.

  • If you don't catch what you need to Mooch, Slap again if you still have another trigger fish to catch.
  • Mooch/Mooch II a Red/Violet if caught.
  • Use PC for the last Red/Violet attempt under FE you've used Mooch II.
  • Use AA (only if you still have another trigger fish to catch) or wait to regen enough GP to TH then Mooch. If you will trigger intuition with what you are mooching for, regen to full GP.
  • If you win, you win. If not set up and FE again.

Fishing for Green: If you're FEing purely for multiple Greens to trigger with, safest way is to end a FE with ICing the fourth then regen and FE again and wait for it to be mostly ending to Cast and catch the fifth.

  • You can quit fishing if you trigger int earlier in the FE to lose the buff but waiting lets you regen some GP.
  • If you've caught 4 Greens already/without IC: FE, catch it, then quit fishing to remove the FE and proceed as normal.

Multiple Intuitions from 1 Window
When a Green window comes up, aim for getting two intuitions especially if it's a 0-16 or 8-16 window.

  • Start one intuition at ASAP as the Green window opens then aim for another. First window is polluted.
  • If it is a 0-16 window and you caught Indigos quickly, you will be able to get in at least one FE before Red is available. If you are successful with the FE, you may be able to get three intuitions if you are able to catch three more Firelights during Red's actual window. In order to get the third, you will have to FE both Indigo and Firelight during 8-16; you have the entire 8 Eorzean hours to do this since you will want to trigger at the end of the window. This is not guaranteed and is reliant on good RNG during the natural Violet and Red windows.
  • If it's nearing the end of the Green window and you don't have the Firelights and Indigos, catch all the Greens then FE the Firelight/Indigo after.

When an Red/Violet window comes up after FE'ing Green and either Red or Violet:

  • Whether you want to operate around Red or Violet's real window depends on which one you caught while FE'ing. Procedure is the same.
  • Trigger the intuition ASAP when whichever one you need opens then aim for another.
  • After the intuition, Slap a Yellow/Blue if you caught a Warden, then fish for Firelight/Indigo again while the window is still open.
  • After the window closes: if Indigo, fish for Firelight then FE if available beforehand, or wait for a Green window. If Firelight, FE the Indigo and Green, if available before hand, or wait for a Green window to trigger in.
  • Use the real or FE-able Green window to get another polluted intuition, then catch 5 more and FE for Indigo/Firelight again if their real windows are not back.
