  • All data presented was manually collected and has image/video proof that was recorded or streamed.
  • Bite time data is based on in-game Cast macro timings and is bait-specific.
    • Several timings are fractional and when using a packet capture tool they are, in my opinion, harder to follow. I do not believe that this type of spreadsheet is necessary if using a packet capture timer because the one that is most popular to use also stores your own times you can follow.
    • These fractional times are useless to someone using a macro because macros cannot display fractional bite times, hence why only .5 is used because I can justify that. Beyond this makes the timers incapable of being meaningfully used by users with macros.
    • My ‘defense’ of the timings provided herein is never having mistakenly DH/THed something I did not want when paying attention while using a macro timer while having farmed in excess of 100 million Ocean Fishing points.
  • If multiple baits are usable, the one highlighted in blue is the one a fish bites on most often (usually). Ones in green can also catch the fish but are (usually) not as good to use.
    • A different bait can be better to use to target specific fish due to a combination of bites times, bite rates and other factors.
  • Weather impacts optimal bait usage for specific fish when outside of spectral currents due to weather other than Fair Skies removing fish.
